A COMPLETE GENOME IN TIME One Genome, One Year
A COMPLETE GENOME IN TIME displays the entire human haploid genome sequence in the dimension of time. The human haploid genome is approximately 3.2 billion nucleotides (the individual units of DNA) in size -- represented by the letters A, C, G and T.
THE DATA BEHIND A COMPLETE GENOME IN TIME
| A Complete Genome in Time (ACGT) will take one year to cycle through the human genome sequence. Yonder’s ACGT application will read approximately 100 bases per second for 365 days and display all of the genomic information contained within a single human genome. |
Yonder Biology is using the human reference genome build 19 for the ACGT project. The application will cycle through Chromosomes 1-22, X & Y.
| ACGT began June 28th, 2012 and will end one year later on June 28th, 2013. |
